HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY

On my 23rd Birthday

my two favourite men in the world!
It’s my pop’s birthday today. If you’ve met my dad, you’ll know..he’s pretty freaking awesome. There are many things that are amazing about my dad but one that stands out to me is that I know he loves me like crazy….James said he could spot it the first time they met.
There’s something insanely valuable about a daughter knowing she is loved by her dad. I am positive that knowing he loves me has helped make me into the woman I am today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!
Love,
s.s.♥.
SHAKE IT OUT TRIBUTE
hot diggity dog….this is simply..AH-MAZING.
I really hope mine & James’ children inherit their daddy’s musical abilities..

stay gold,
s.s.♥.
LIFE TIP...
Life Tip…Use the proper amount of baking powder.
Ever wish you could go into the past and prevent yourself from doing something stupid? Yeah, I wish I could too. If I were to write me a letter to me yesterday this is what it would say…
Dear me yesterday,
Don’t, I repeat don’t…bake cupcakes without the correct amount of baking powder. I know you really don’t want to run to the store again but those cupcakes are not going to rise without that little magic man, they’ll be dense and not as awesome as you want them to be. Yes, you can cover them up with delicious strawberry-lemonade cream cheese frosting..but they’ll still be dense little suckers. Don’t skimp out on the baking powder. EVER.
Love your slightly wiser self,
Laura
In other news…IT WAS THE WEEKEND! I actually had two days off! TWO DAYS OFF IN A ROW! Yes, that’s right, I didn’t work at my other job (the sales one, not the church) this weekend and it was deeeee-light-fullllll. I got to go to the beach (twice!). And I did a bunch of wedding stuff…on Saturday night a bunch of my amazing girlfriends gathered and made these babies…

I’ll be posting a DIY on these later this week! They’re going to be part of our centrepieces.. a lot of work, but easy to make! Thank you to all my wonderful friends who came out and helped!!!
Another sweet, sweet highlight of this gorgeous weekend was having a picnic with my man…I cannot wait to marry him in 88 days <———-(eeeeeeeeee!!)
We also found his wedding jacket! AND picked out all our wedding songs…!
This week we’re getting our invites printed….they’re adorable… :)

I’d also go back to Saturday and tell myself to smile in this picture…
(i’m wearing- BCBG hat, BCBG blouse, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag)
Happy Monday :)
xoxo,

LULLABY
I’ve slept in a twin bed my whole life. It’s never bothered me because I don’t really move when I sleep..ok sometimes I toss and turn..especially when I’m trying to go to sleep on an air mattress at 2am in a gym after a very spiritually exhausting day all the while the boys on the other side of the gym decide to have a full tribal dance including stomping and clapping…but that’s another story.
Usually I sleep very well. I love to sleep, like really, really love to sleep so choosing duvets, pillows, shams & sheets gets me right riled up… Here are a few that are catching my eye…

ahhhh kinda unimaginable that in less than 3 months..I’ll have my HUSBAND to sing me lullabies!
I have the next two days OFF. COMPLETELY OFF. I’m seriously freaking out because two days off in a row are few and far between…Just spent the last two hours dying coffee filters for my coffee filter flowers centre pieces! (I’m having a wedding craft night with my girls tomorrow..soo excited)
Off to the beach!! boooyah!

DEAR DIARY #015
I’MMM BAAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!!
I marry the man of my dreams in 3 MONTHS…3 MONTHS!!!! It seems like every time I come on here, I give ya a countdown till the big day…but it’s 3 MONTHS! 3MONTHS PEOPLE…that’s graspable!..and in 40 minutes it will be less than 3 MONTHS….eeeeee!
Life has been a bit crazy lately, but now it’s getting semi back to normal.
Last weekend I was at Historymaker with CITY YOUTH. Man oh man, it was amazeballs. Seriously. The best Historymaker I’ve ever been to! Leeland was leading worship…they’re the type of people who just LOVE Jesus…like, really, really love Jesus. Elijah Waters was amazing! (He’ll be at Adore Conference in October) And Eric Samuel Timm rocked it.
I had the privilege of leading a breakout session on PURITY. The room was absolutely packed with girls. It was such an honour to share what God has been placing on my heart this past year. I am so ready to see our generation honour God with purity.
OK, so my eyelids are begging me to go to sleep but I promise..I’ll be back soon. I got loads of wedding crafts posts coming..soogetreadygetreadygetready!
Here are a few projects I hope to get my paws on soon…
