HELLO WEEKEND

So Summer decided to reappear this week! I'm not complaining but man, I was convinced fall was here and walked to work wearing a jacket, leggings and long sleeves..big mistake. I was sweeeeaaaating up a storm. It's crazy to think we had our heat on last week! It's supposed to stay sunny this weekend so I am one happy girl...scarves can wait a week or two :)

Tomorrow we become a family of four. (No I did not hide being pregnant with twins from the world incase you were wondering!) Our second homestay student arrives! It's going to be a bit crazy cooking for four people, but it's preparing us for when we have kids one day...rrriiiight? Now I'm on the hunt for good crockpot meals, please send me your suggestions!
The church is being the church and stepping up to the Syrian refugee crisis. It can be so overwhelming to think of but everyone can do one thing. This website is a great resource to help you figure out how you can practically help.
Rifflandia is happening next weekend! I'm excited to see my man play with Towers & Trees of course but ohmgeee I'm also sooo pumped to see Chromeo again! Last time I saw them was at Coachella in 2011 and it was the best dance party of my life. I'm hoping the sunny weather will stay so we can have a good ol music festival.
Earlier this week, I shared with you some beauty products that I'm currently loving but ahhh I have more to add to that list...like this eyeliner and this mascara. I didn't think I'd love that mascara but I DO and I'm going to buy it when I run out of my current one.

5 BEAUTY PRODUCTS I'M CURRENTLY LOVING

It's been awhile since I've done a beauty post. Between my birchbox subscription and my addiction to Sephora, I try a lot of beauty products! And lately I've been trying products I really, really like so I decided to share those with you!

1. Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella // This lip pencil was in the Sephora birthday present this year and oh my goodness, I LOVE IT. The colour is a rich, deep red and the texture is sooo smooth! It lasts pretty long as well.

2. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner // Courtney introduced me to this guy and I am so glad she did because it's doing wonders for my cat eye game! This is the year I'm mastering the cat eye!

3. Boscia Thermal Black Cleanser // I received this in a Sephora gift last month and it is one heck of a good cleanser. It's very different than any other cleanser I've used as it is black and it heats up on your skin!

4. Amika Undone Texture Spray // I got this baby in last month's birchbox and I am loooving it. I use it after I wash my hair and want a bit of texture. It's kinda like a dry shampoo but more of a volume spray. It's fun and I'm definitely buying it!

5. Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask // Last month as I was looking to buy the St. Tropez self tanner from Sephora I found out that they no longer carried it! I was bummed but the girl gave me a sample of this guy. I used it and loved it! Basically you put it on before you go to bed and you wake up with a tan :) I was going to buy it when I used up my sample but when I opened up my birchbox, this guy was inside!

SUMMER IN PHOTOS

Oh summer 2015, you were a good one. You were full of adventures and rest as well. You were full of books and music and camping and sun and beach days and ice cream (maybe a little too much, but that's okay....) and parties and love.

I had lots of fun watching my man play with Towers & Tree this summer....bonus: other band wives/gfs are so lovely!

Apparently, I ate A LOT of amazing food this summer.....bbqs....ice cream...tacos..mmmmmmm

Thanks Summer 2015 for being so dang good. And now here's to a fantastic fall full of even more goodness!

HAPPY LABOUR DAY!

Happy long weekend everybody! Hope you are having a good one! We had a great one around here. On Saturday night, we had a big ol family birthday dinner for my sister and I. It was so fun to gather with family (mine & James!) and eat a tooooooon of food (my pops bought 17 steaks and chicken and pork...!!!) Today James and I are heading to Saanich Fair...fingers crossed for sunny weather!

HELLO WEEKEND

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week!!! Mine has been jam packed with all the fall planning in the church but it's soooo much fun! BUT I had a moment to slow down when I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season!!! They haven't officially launched yet but if you're a gold member, they emailed out a pass for you to access them all this weekend. #BOOYAH

Our weather has been SOO COLD this week. We even turned on our heat the other night. It sure feels like fall and that means I'm wanting all the boots and scarves
like these ones and this one please.
Oh and I picked up this lipstick the other night...I'm soooo fall ready!

Beach House released a new album ON MY BIRTHDAY.
Thanks Beach House for such a wonderful present :)

Speaking of my birthday...did you see my 20 goals for my last year as a 20 something?

I so loved Joy the Baker's recent article on Instagram use. I was all over the "being generous with likes". Seriously, why are you following someone if you never "like" their photos???!!!!
