few facts about ponchos..

1. you do not have to be mexican to wear a poncho

2. The poncho is essentially a single large sheet of fabric with an opening in the center for the head with a piece of fabric that covers the head.

3.The poncho was first used on a regular basis in the 1850s by Aaron Fletcher in the Great Plains. These early military ponchos were made of gutta percha muslin, a latex-coated, waterproof cloth.

yes, ponchos are a legit clothing piece that should hang in your closet.

Because it’s Christmas time you may be ~~saving for presents , being wise with money, saving for the future,~~ broke. But don’t let that crush your heart… I made a sweet poncho and it only cost me $17. Yep, you heard right.

It’s super easy. They used wool but i went with jersey. You basically cut a hole where you want your head to poke out of and then cut tassels!
